As the Moragues Room has limited capacity, you must register in advance if you wish to attend the opening and closing of Marketplace 2014.


10.00 am > 6.00 pm     TRADE FAIR CENTRE

Organisations, companies, Social Responsibility platforms, Special Employment Centres and integration companies.

The corridors of the Born Centre Cultural will house over 70 booths, where the following will take part:

  • Social Organisations
  • Companies with SR projects (large, medium and small enterprises as well as social entrepreneurs)
  • Special Employment Centres and integration companies
  • SR promotion platforms (Europe, Spain and Latin America)
  • Institutions

10.00 am > 6.00 pm    ‘CONNECT’ SPACE
  • Consultations (all day)
  • Speakers’ Corner (10.00 am > 2.30 pm)
  • Listening to Us (3.00 pm > 6.00 pm)
  • Consultation
    of sector-specific paper and digital publications (volunteering, SR, best practices, etc.).
  • Speakers’ Corner (10.00 am > 2.30 pm): Companies and organisations will have three minutes to share their social projects (the presentations will be recorded on video and will be subsequently broadcast on the YouTube channel). To make sure you can take part in this space and that you get your video, you need to register
  • Listening to Us (3.00 pm > 6.00 pm): Companies and organisations will share their social projects in front of an audience of about 50 people (volunteers and/or professionals).

10.00 am > 2.00 pm    ‘REFLECTION’ SPACE
  • Premium Debate in Business Auditorium no. 5 (Sala Auditori Comercial 5)..
  • Respon.cat Debate in the Antoni Desvalls Room.

This space is not open to the public. The findings of this space will be presented at the close of Marketplace.

  • Premium (10.00 am > 2.00 pm):
    Ten large companies and ten social organisations will reflect on one of the aspects of corporate SR: corporate volunteering. This space will be coordinated and driven by Juan Ángel Poyatos, director of Voluntare.
  • El Respon.cat (10.00 am > 2.00 pm):
    Twenty SMEs and entrepreneurs will meet to reflect on their Social Responsibility. This space will be coordinated and driven by Josep Maria Canyelles, coordinator of Respon.cat

10.00 am > 6.00 pm    LEARNING’ SPACE
  • Empowering Us (11.00 am > 2.00 pm) in the Manuel Desvalls Room.
  • Presentation of the Guide to the Implementation of a CSR and Corporate Volunteering Model (3.00 pm > 16.30 am) in the Manuel Desvalls Room.
  • Solidarity Pitching (3.00 pm > 6.00 pm) in the Moragues Room.
  • Empowering Us (11.00 am > 2.00 pm):
    A company with training expertise will provide mini communication skills courses for organisations (three courses for 20 organisations – 1 hour per course). Prior registration required. (Registration form)
  • Presentation of the Guide by Xavier Gónyora and Sergi Comellas (3.00 pm > 16.30 am):
    No prior registration required.
  • Solidarity Pitching (3.00 pm > 6.00 pm):
    Six organisations will present to six companies the projects they have been working on during one year. These projects will be recorded on video and will be subsequently broadcast on the event’s YouTube channel.
    These presentations are designed to explain a project or product to a potential investor or partner.

10.00 am > 2.00 pm    ‘ROUND-TABLES’ SPACE. Moragues Room

One of the highlights of Marketplace will be the ‘Round-Tables’ Space, six debate groups comprised of speakers from the world of business and academia in Catalonia, moderated by leading journalists, discussing issues relating to the world of volunteering and some of the areas in which its presence has acquired a central role. Below are some of the speakers and moderators who have already confirmed their attendance:
